I looked at him, struggling to bury my tears beneath whatever shred of dignity that remained. They finally saturated my lashes and flood onto my face. Shaking with rage, I said, “We are all human beings and I only ask that you give me the same respect you give others. All I am asking is to be treating with a dignity and humanity. What you did is wrong.” They stared straight ahead, arms crossed, and refused to even look at me. Up came the cruel, xenophobic, soundproof wall that I had seen in the eyes of so many after 9/11. Their eyes, flecked with disdain and hatred, looked through me.
The next affront came quickly thereafter. “You were here last year, weren’t you? You caused trouble here last year too. I know you,” they claimed, accusing me of being a party-crasher. Completely confused, I explained that this was my first time here and that I had no idea what he was referencing. Clearly, he had assumed all brown people look the same and had confused me for someone else.
I wonder what their reaction would have been to a well-dressed white woman trying to reach her husband. Would she have struggled for over an hour while they watched and offered to escort others in? Would they not have extended an offer to help, bended over backwards to offer assistance, just as they did with the woman who “lost her ticket”? Would the Boston bombings even be mentioned to a white woman?
Let’s stop this facade that we are a beacon of tolerance. I don’t need you to “tolerate” me. I don’t want you to merely put up with my presence. All I ask, all I have ever asked, is to be treated as a human being, that bigoted jingoism is not injected into every minute facet my life, that there remains at least the illusion of decency.

My anger has shot through the roof today finding this story. Basically, it’s your run of the mill “if you dress like a whore, you deserve to get raped” attitude coming from some Christian dude going by the name of Dean Saxton. If this guy is trying to draw people to his religion this way, It sure as hell won’t fucking work.
I’m honestly not surprised, but since this is coming from a school in my home state, you bet I’m extra angry.
ETA: I like that the two guys next to the guy holding the “You deserve rape” sign are holding up counter signs “You deserve grape” and “Nobody deserves rape.” Some hope restored.

On the 14th of March, after a long day of work and dressed in a grey hoodie, she was locking up her business when a woman approached her and asked her what she was doing, and told her that she’d phoned the police. Minutes later the police arrived and accused her of trying to break into the coffee shop, and despite the fact that she could prove that she owned the place, that she knew everything worth knowing about it in terms of employee records and the like, the police officers still demanded to see her ID, a demand reminiscent of those made by police officers at the tram stations in Stockholm who are dead set on tracking down and catching illegal immigrants by targeting people who don’t look what’s considered “ethnically Swedish”.

So for those of you may or may not know the organization PETA is people against animal cruelty.
Well let me tell you a story that I just found out today.
Our dog Boulder is a show dog and he was at a show a few weeks or so ago. PETA was also there and they were protesting how dog shows are inhumane.
So what did they fucking do? They let all/most of the dogs out of their kennels and put rat poison inside the kennels.
Boulder got sick after the show and as they were doing tests and everything they found the rat poison in his system. PETA killed my dog.
My dog Boulder has cancer now which spread to his kidney and his lungs. He is not going to make it. He has lost a lot of weight and needs to be fed by hand because of fucking PETA.
So I want you guys to spread this like wildfire. Tell everyone about this. Because of PETA we are losing a member of our family who is near and dear to us.

Last Friday, Phyllis Phukubye, 27, left Helen Joseph Hospital and headed home but had to stop when she saw a motorcycle accident victim on Douglas Road, Saturday Star reported.
When she arrived on the scene, she saw that the victim was badly hurt and many bystanders surrounded him.
Phukubye introduced herself to the victim and the people who were standing around, “mostly white people”.
“I put on my gloves and attempted to assist the man. But no one seemed to believe that I was a doctor or a health professional, because they kept uttering stupid remarks in the background. They were even telling me what to do and what not to do,” she told the newspaper.
Phukubye said a white lady assumed that she was a nurse and kept saying to her that her son’s friend was a doctor and he was on his way to the scene.
Paramedics arrived and they also “shooed ” her away even physically pushing her.
She finally walked away, assuming that the patient was in good hands.
So… when I talk about the fact that people are more invested in white supremacy than survival…
