I was walking into the building when I saw a group of guys in “sexy superhero” cosplay walking out. These brave, badass men sang “I’ll make a man out of you” from Mulan. Always good to see guys crossplaying. Major highlight of Phoenix Comicon day 2 (technically Day 3 if you count Preview Day).

Couldn’t write yesterday. Busy. My volunteer shift was at the photo booth. Actually caught glimpses of celebrities passing by, like Michael Rooker (Merle - Walking Dead) and John Barrowman (Jack Harkness - Torchwood).

I managed to stick around long enough to get a photo with John Barrowman along with the staff. XD Even got to shake his hand too.

Gaming room…I would play in tournaments, but I suck. ^^; AZHP needs to improve their Stepmania set up or get their own DDR machine. I know there’s new versions of Stepmania already and where to find similes.

Aside from that, I did the DDR 101 panel today. It was alright. I felt there were some details missing when it came to the 1st and 2nd mix.

Mutagen (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cocktail)

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Pineapple Rum
0.5 oz Midori
2oz aloe Mango Drink
1 Bag of Green Pop Rocks
Half a Lime wedge
5 Grapes

Directions: First Rim glass with your green pop rocks. (also Green dyed sugar also works) Add Midori, Pineapple Rum, and Aloe Mango drink into mixing glass and poor into glass over ice. Then add your garnish and drink to mutate. To make the turtle garnish take half a lime and add 5 tooth picks, 1 for each appendage (2 arms 2 legs and 1 head).

The overall makeup of this drink is sweet and fruity. I like my drinks that way most of the time. If someone can make me this drink, I will love them for-frakking-ever.

“Rather than fighting for every woman’s right to feel beautiful, I would like to see the return of a kind of feminism that tells women and girls everywhere that maybe it’s all right not to be pretty and perfectly well behaved. That maybe women who are plain, or large, or old, or differently abled, or who simply don’t give a damn what they look like because they’re too busy saving the world or rearranging their sock drawer, have as much right to take up space as anyone else.

I think if we want to take care of the next generation of girls we should reassure them that power, strength and character are more important than beauty and always will be, and that even if they aren’t thin and pretty, they are still worthy of respect.
